The Lala Lajpatrai College of Law started from June 2005 with due permission from Mumbai University and the Bar council of India. The 3 years LLB Course affiliated to Mumbai University commenced from the academic year 2005-2006 with an Intake capacity of 80 students per division. With a vision to provide comprehensive education which will train our students to be globally competitive and socially responsible citizens.

Conditions For Admissions To Third & Fifth Semester of Three Years L.L.B Courses :

Candidates for being eligible for admission to the third semester of 3 years LL.B. courses must have either passed in the examinations of the First and Second Semester or must have got exemption in at least Six Papers (excluding Practical Training Paper) of the First and Second Semesters. Similarly, a candidate for being eligible for admission to Fifth Semester of 3 years LL.B. course must have passed in all the papers of First and Second Semester and must have either passed in the Third and Fourth Semester or must have got exemption in at least Six Papers (excluding Practical Training Paper) of the Third and Fourth Semesters.

A Student Migrating From Any Other Constituent College Of The Mumbai University

6. Shall produce a “Transfer Certificate” to be obtained from the college last attended. The Transfer Certificate application form should be obtained from the college at the time of admission and should be submitted to the college last attended. It will be the sole responsibility of the student to obtain “Transfer Certificate” from the previous college and submit it to the College office within the stipulated period.

The Management Council Resolution is reproduced as under Item No. 9: After due deliberation, it was resolved that the proposal for issuing the Provisional Statement of Eligibility to the students by imposing a penalty after the due date prescribed for the respective year the affiliated college / recognized institutes of Rs. 5000/-, and Rs. 10,000/- for Non-Professional and Professional courses respectively be accepted. However, the said penalty shall be made effective from 1st October 2007, till further orders, subject to the fulfilment of conditions as laid down in the Ordinances 119 and 120 relating to the attendance to be kept by the students and also subject to the condition that the student is admitted as per the admission schedule of the University.

Students are provided with State–of the-art Wi-fi technology; enabling wireless access.
