Symbiosis Law School (SLS), Pune admission is entrance-based. The law school offers around seven courses at UG, PG, diploma, certificate, and PhD level. Symbiosis International University (SIU) conducts the Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT) and All India Admission Test (AIAT) for admission to some of the law programmes. Degree Programme

B.A.LL.B. (5 Year Programme)

The 3-year LLB (Hons) is a postgraduate professional degree programme that is open to graduates from all disciplines. It is a qualifying degree for admission to legal practice. It is an integrated law course, which includes the study of both law subjects and arts subjects like political science, economics, history, etc. BA LLB course duration is 5 years. After completing 12th from a recognized board, students can apply for BA LLB admission through law entrance exams such as CLAT, LSAT India, AILET, etc. or direct admissions.

Eligibility: H.S.C. or equivalent in any stream from recognised board with minimum 45% marks (40% marks for SC / ST / NT / DTNT / OBC categories belonging to State of Maharashtra).

LL.B. (3 Year Programme)

A three-year LLB is an undergraduate law curriculum that is only concerned with legal topics. Even though students can only enrol in this course after graduating it is not a postgraduate degree. 5-year LLB curriculum is an integrated course with a dual degree. Along with the core requirements for the LLB degree, this course also covers subjects from other graduate programmes including BA, B.Com, BBA, B.Sc, etc.

Eligibility: Bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent with minimum 45% marks (40% marks for SC / ST / NT / DTNT / OBC categories belonging to State of Maharashtra).

Moot court Cell

Moot court covers the appeals process rather than a trial, so there is no jury, witnesses or evidence. Instead, students are given a hypothetical case and will take on the role of either the appellant or respondent. The appellants will speak first, arguing the decision in the original trial was wrong. The respondents will then present their case defending the initial ruling. The Moot Court Board is composed of second-year and third-year law students chosen on the basis of their performance in intramural moot court competition. A state-of art Moot Court hall serves as an experiential learning place. The moot court room is built separately to conduct the internal moots as well as for hosting the moot court competition. The Feel of classic court room is simulated through this Moot Court hall.

The exam conducting authority has released the CLAT Exam notification on 31 October 2023 on its official website. SLAT 2023 For SLS – H

SLAT is the entrance test conducted by Symbiosis International (Deemed University) to admit students in the law program offered by the university at their institutes situated in 7 different cities across India. It is mandatory to appear for SLAT (Symbiosis Law Admission Test) as a precondition for admission to Symbiosis Law Schools. Symbiosis International University (SIU) Pune has released the SLAT 2023 application form on December 15, 2022. Interested candidates will be able to register and make payment for the exam until April 12, 2023.

The Symbiosis Law Aptitude Test will be conducted on two dates, May 06, 2023 and May 14, 2023, in online, computer-based test mode. The SLAT 2023 will have 60 multiple choice questions on legal and logical reasoning, analytical reasoning, reading comprehension and general knowledge. The scores of Symbiosis entrance test for Law or SLAT will be accepted by four Symbiosis Law Schools (SLSs) that offer BA LLB and BBA LLB programmes through the entrance test.
