Basic Eligibility to Study Law

· Three-year LLB entrance exams: There is no upper age-limit for admission. However a candidate must be at least 17 years of age on the date of application. A graduation degree with 45% marks (40% for reserved category) is the basic qualification required.

· Law courses after 12th available in India. LLB is one of the most commonly opted for law courses after 12th, and its duration is 3 years. If you want to take up the integrated course, then you can get admission to the 5-year integrated programme after the completion of 10+2 exams

SLAT Entrance Test 2024 – Exam Overview

Since 2018, SET – Law test is known as Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT). This is conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode across various cities of India.

A candidate needs to register for SLAT 2024 & also register for the institutes offering his/ her choice of programmes by paying separate programmes registration fees. If shortlisted, he/she would then need to attend the further admission process conducted by each of these institutes individually.

Candidates are fully and solely responsible to provide correct information during the application process. If it is found that any information provided by the candidate at the time of filling / submitting the application form is not true, SIU has the right to cancel the application or admission, at any stage, in accordance with its rules and regulations. Any direct or indirect attempt to influence the management and employees of the Institute will lead to automatic disqualification of the candidate.

The objective of 5-year LLB is not any different from the 3-year LLB programme. The only difference is that the programme also focuses on basic graduation level subjects apart from core law education. Students must have passed graduation with at least 45% marks.

Selection Procedure

Selected candidates shall be arranged in the order of merit in each category. A wait – list shall be prepared for each category, so that in the event of a selected candidate not joining, the candidates in the wait-list could be admitted in the order of merit. Admission process shall be completed latest by the 25th day of July of the year or any other date which may be notified by the University.

Candidates who are selected shall be intimated about the selection, immediately by the University through email / post / phone / fax and by posting the result on the website of the University. The candidates will be given stipulated time for getting admission, failing which, the offer of admission stands cancelled.

The same procedure shall be followed in the case of wait-listed candidates. The tuition fee and other deposits shall be paid through ECS/Demand Draft obtained in favour of “Registrar, National Law University, Delhi”. If any candidate fails to join after admission to the course, only 75% of the tuition fee paid will be refunded to the candidates.

The non-refundable part of the tuition fees shall be utilized towards financial assistance to deserving students who could not pay the tuition fee on account of their economic backwardness, based on the recommendation of a committee constituted by the Vice-Chancellor.

SLS UG Admission

Symbiosis Law School offers five year course in legal studies offering dual Bachelor’s in Arts & Law and Business Administration & Law. Candidates applying for five year integrated courses must have appeared for Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET).
Qualifying candidates must appear for Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) by SLS. Annual intake for the integrated courses is 300 students. Applicants must have successfully cleared Higher Secondary Examinations with at least 45% aggregate marks.
