Affiliated to University of Mumbai, Kishinchand Chellaram Law College (KC Law College) was established in 1955 at Mumbai, Maharashtra. The three-year LLB course offered by the College is approved by Bar Council of India. Students who wish to study law for knowledge and do not wish to practice as an advocate can get their Law (General) degree by the end of second year only. Institute offers admission to 300 seats every year through MH-CET-Law entrance exam.

LL.B. (3 years) Degree Course:
The College offers a 3-year degree course. The course consists of six semesters per year. On the successful completion of the 3-year course, the student is eligible for the LL.B. degree awarded by the University of Mumbai. If a student desires to pursue the study of law for the sake of pure knowledge but does not wish to practice as an advocate, he is eligible for the LL.B. (General) Degree at the end of the 2nd year of 3-year LL.B Course.

Eligibility for Admission to the First Year:
A candidate passing the MH-CET examination and the Graduation Examination of the Mumbai University, in any faculty with minimum 45% marks or a corresponding degree examination of any other University recognized as equivalent thereto by Mumbai University with the minimum prescribed marks is eligible for admission to the First Year LL.B

Admission to LL.B. program of KC Law College is based on score in MH-CET Law conducted by DTE, Maharashtra.
The minimum qualification to apply for this program is a pass in graduation with 45% marks and 50 marks out of 150 for general category and 40 for reserved category candidates.

KC Law College Mumbai Application Process 2024
KC Law College invites offline application forms to apply for LL.B. program. The admission process is as follows:
· Prospectus and application forms can be obtained from the college office after the payment of prescribed fee.
· Candidates should submit the form at the office within the prescribed time.
· The merit list of selected candidates will be displayed on the Notice Board of the College.
· Selected students may seek admission within a prescribed time-limit as notified by the Institute.
· After the admission is granted, admission fees must be paid through DD in favor of ‘Principal K.C. Law College’ payable at Mumbai.
· Following original and self-attested photocopies of documents are necessary to be brought for verification:
1. MH-CET Law score card
2. 10th /12th Mark sheets
3. Graduation DMCs with passing certificate

Library at K. C. Law College
K. C. Law College Library is named after Late Diwan Gopaldas Jhamatmal Advani, one of the leading advocates of Sind. He was a scholar and writer of book titled ‘Arbitration and Specific Relief Act’. He was also connected with many Educational Institutions in Sind as well as in Mumbai.
The College Library is located in a spacious and airy hall on the fourth floor of the college building. It houses a valuable collection of law books, journals, reports, etc. Daily newspapers and magazines are also kept in the library.
The library has approximately 15000 print books and journals.
The library subscribes to three legal databases and one general database of e-books and e-journals in its collection.
It includes a rare and valuable collection of back files of case reporters for the second half of the 19th century. The library has maintained print AIR right from its first volume of the year1914.
The library also contains Moot Court memorials as guide to students.
There is a collection of biographies and writings of Indian and foreign legal stalwarts for inspirational reading.
Access to the library collection is through a catalogue which is computerized using SLIM software. Books are arranged subject wise and classified using the Dewey DecimalClassification Scheme.
From the Academic Year 2022-23 onwards, the library has acquired the EBC Reader e-Library, a database of e-books and e-journals published by Eastern Book Company. User accounts have been created for all students and teachers and all of them can access this collection remotely.
