What is SRB?

The “SRB” (Student’s Resource Book), is the document which provides the information, guidelines and rules related to academics, attendance, examination, library, placement, and day to day functioning of the school. All students are bound by the rules mentioned in SRB.

How the students will get information on Final/Re-Exam dates/time table?

Information about Final/Re-examination dates are available in the Academic Calendar of the Student Resource Book of the respective school of every academic year. The Academic calendar is also shared by the Academic dept at the beginning of Academic year. The Final/Re- exam time-table is published approximately 30 – 45 days prior to the commencement of examination. The student can view this time table on the Student Portal as well as on the NMIMS website (https://nmims.edu/examination).

Who can apply for re-examination?

Student who was Absent/Fail or score D grade in Final /Re- Exam can apply for re-exam. Read the Promotion/Progression rule given in SRB to understand the eligble number of attempts the student can appear for a particular semester/trimester re-examination.

What if a student does not apply for the re-examination in the given time period? Is there any provision of application by collecting extra fee?

There is no provision for apply for re-examination after the registration window is closed as per the time slot given in the Re-Examination time table. In such case, the student concerned lose the chance to appear for the re-examination.

Whom should the student contact if s/he faces some technical error/ problems while visiting the Student portal?

About NMIMS-LAT 2024

Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), a deemed to be university, is conducting the NMIMS Law Aptitude Test 2024 (NMIMS-LAT 2024) phase 1 from January 1 to March 10, 2024. The exam is being conducted in multiple slots in online mode for law admissions into its seven campuses in India. The NMIMS-LAT 2024 application is currently open. The last date to apply for the exam is May 20, 2024.

The NMIMS LAT phase 2 registrations will begin on March 11, 2024. The NMIMS LAT phase 2 exam will be conducted from March 16, 2024, to May 25, 2024. What is NMIMS LAT?

NMIMS-LAT is the NMIMS entrance exam for law. Through this test,the institute admits students into the 5-year integrated BA LLB (Hons) and BBA LLB (Hons) programmes, at its various campuses of the NIMIMS School of Law located at Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Indore, Chandigarh and Dhule. It must be noted that the BA LLB programme is not available at the Dhule campus.

The institute will also admit students into LLM programme through the NLAT 2024. The one year LLM is available only at the Mumbai campus.

NMIMS-LAT 2024 will be conducted in online mode in multiple slots at designated test centres across India. Before applying, candidates must make sure they fulfil the NMIMS LAT eligibility criteria. The NMIMS law entrance exam 2024 will test the candidates’ ability in five areas namely verbal reasoning, general knowledge, quantitative reasoning, logical reasoning and legal reasoning. There will be a total of 150 multiple choice questions.

NMIMS Admission Through CLAT 2024

Law aspirants must also note that, other than the NMIMS law entrance exam, NMIMS also conducts law admissions through CLAT 2024. Therefore, aspiring candidates who appeared for CLAT 2024 can also apply for admission into NMIMS. Conversion formula to convert CGPA into Percentage/ Back log letter

NMIMS follows a grading scheme (given in students resource book of each school) leading to the award of four-point Grade Point Average (GPA) for each trimester/semester and Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) for all the trimesters/semesters till date. Wherever relative grading followed, there is no formula to convert CGPA into percentage. In such case, a student may apply for statement of marks which gives marks and overall percentage obtained.
