About Library

SDSOS library consists of the part of NMIMS R M Desai Library. Since 2014, it separately works for all the undergraduate and postgraduate courses of NMIMS’ SOL.

The well-furnished and air-conditioned KPMSOL library is located on second floor of Mithibai college building. It is spread over 7000 sq. ft., with a seating capacity of 300 students. The library is divided into three sections, the Staff area, Reading Hall, and the stacking area. Library follows Open Access System and secured by a 3M security gate and CCTV cameras. Library is automated with koha library automation software. The library provides Wi-Fi facility; there is database hub for students. The library provides interlibrary loan services. The library opens on all weekdays from morning 8.30 am to evening 8. Pm.

About NMIMS-LAT 2024

Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), a deemed to be university, is conducting the NMIMS Law Aptitude Test 2024 (NMIMS-LAT 2024) phase 1 from January 1 to March 10, 2024. The exam is being conducted in multiple slots in online mode for law admissions into its seven campuses in India. The NMIMS-LAT 2024 application is currently open. The last date to apply for the exam is May 20, 2024.

The NMIMS LAT phase 2 registrations will begin on March 11, 2024. The NMIMS LAT phase 2 exam will be conducted from March 16, 2024, to May 25, 2024. The NMIMS LAT merit list 2024 will be released on June 13, 2024. Aspirants must fill the application for the NMIMS law exam online and schedule their exam at their preferred available slot. The list of programmes offered by NMIMS KPMSOL through NMIMS-LAT include BA LLB (Hons.), BBA LLB (Hons.), and one-year LLM.

What is NMIMS LAT?

NMIMS-LAT is the NMIMS entrance exam for law. Through this test,the institute admits students into the 5-year integrated BA LLB (Hons) and BBA LLB (Hons) programmes, at its various campuses of the NIMIMS School of Law located at Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Indore, Chandigarh and Dhule. It must be noted that the BA LLB programme is not available at the Dhule campus.

The institute will also admit students into LLM programme through the NLAT 2024. The one year LLM is available only at the Mumbai campus.

NMIMS-LAT 2024 will be conducted in online mode in multiple slots at designated test centres across India. Before applying, candidates must make sure they fulfil the NMIMS LAT eligibility criteria. The NMIMS law entrance exam 2024 will test the candidates’ ability in five areas namely verbal reasoning, general knowledge, quantitative reasoning, logical reasoning and legal reasoning. There will be a total of 150 multiple choice questions.

NMIMS Admission Through CLAT 2024

Law aspirants must also note that, other than the NMIMS law entrance exam, NMIMS also conducts law admissions through CLAT 2024. Therefore, aspiring candidates who appeared for CLAT 2024 can also apply for admission into NMIMS. The Consortim of NLUs conducted CLAT 2024 for admission into UG and PG law programmes of participating NLUs on December 3, 2023.

Kirit P Mehta School of Law Admission Process 2024

Established in the year 2013, Kirit P Mehta School of Law is the law wing of the SVKM’s NMIMS (Deemed-to-be-University). Approved by the Bar Council of India, this institute aims to provide quality legal education with its UG, PG and doctoral-level programmes such as BA LLB (Hons), BBA LLB (Hons), LLM and PhD. Kirit P Mehta School of Law admission is completely entrance-based for all its courses. Candidates looking forward to practising law in India, are required to clear the All India Bar Exam (AIBE) that is conducted by BCI. On clearing the AIBE exam, lawyers are awarded a ‘Certificate of Practice’ which is mandatory for practising the profession as an advocate in India.

The admission process for PG and doctoral-level programmes is currently open and for UG courses, it will begin in June.
