The 3-year LLB (Hons) is a postgraduate professional degree programme that is open to graduates from all disciplines. It is a qualifying degree for admission to legal practice. It is an integrated law course, which includes the study of both law subjects and arts subjects like political science, economics, history, etc. BA LLB course duration is 5 years. After completing 12th from a recognized board, students can apply for BA LLB admission through law entrance exams such as CLAT, LSAT India, AILET, etc. or direct admissions.

Eligibility: H.S.C. or equivalent in any stream from recognised board with minimum 45% marks (40% marks for SC / ST / NT / DTNT / OBC categories belonging to State of Maharashtra).

LL.B. (3 Year Programme)

A three-year LLB is an undergraduate law curriculum that is only concerned with legal topics. Even though students can only enrol in this course after graduating it is not a postgraduate degree. 5-year LLB curriculum is an integrated course with a dual degree. Along with the core requirements for the LLB degree, this course also covers subjects from other graduate programmes including BA, B.Com, BBA, B.Sc, etc.

Eligibility: Bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent with minimum 45% marks (40% marks for SC / ST / NT / DTNT / OBC categories belonging to State of Maharashtra).

Moot court Cell

Moot court covers the appeals process rather than a trial, so there is no jury, witnesses or evidence. Instead, students are given a hypothetical case and will take on the role of either the appellant or respondent. The appellants will speak first, arguing the decision in the original trial was wrong. The respondents will then present their case defending the initial ruling. The Moot Court Board is composed of second-year and third-year law students chosen on the basis of their performance in intramural moot court competition. A state-of art Moot Court hall serves as an experiential learning place. The moot court room is built separately to conduct the internal moots as well as for hosting the moot court competition. The Feel of classic court room is simulated through this Moot Court hall.

SLAT Selection Procedure 2023: Symbiosis International University (SIU) follows its own SLAT selection procedure for giving admission to the candidates to UG law programmes. The entrance exam for SIU, SLAT 2023 will be conducted on May 06, 2023 and May 14, 2023, in online, computer-based test mode. Candidates can appear for the SLAT 2023 exam on both dates.

If a candidate appears for more than one test, the higher score will be considered for the final percentile calculation. The selection procedure of SLAT 2023 includes steps such as registration, examination, Personal Interaction (PI) and Writing Ability Test (WAT). While the SLAT 2023 is conducted by the SIU, the PI and WAT rounds are conducted separately by each law school.

Written Ability Test

Admission procedure for DES Law College 

The candidates are required to fill an application form, mentioning their educational qualifications. The admission is based on the merit and interview results. For admission to the 5 Year Law Course the candidates must have secured. At least 45% marks in their 10+2 exams or its equivalent exams. A Moot Court is like practicing for the real court, where students are made to participate in the staged court proceedings that are related to a fictitious dispute between parties. Mostly, moot courts are conducted in law teaching institutions where the students are expected to pursue their careers in the field of law as lawyers, arbitrators and judges; hence they’re made to practice to be trained for future along with development of the required skills.
