About Lala Lajpatrai College of Law
The Lala Lajpatrai College of Law started from June 2005 with due permission from Mumbai University and the Bar council of India. The 3 years LLB Course affiliated to Mumbai University commenced from the academic year 2005-2006 with an Intake capacity of 80 students per division. With a vision to provide comprehensive education which will train our students to be globally competitive and socially responsible citizens.
Lala Lajpatrai College of Law is an institute for higher education in Mumbai, Maharashtra. It offers various courses including LL.B. in the 1 streams (Law). Courses
LL.B. Degree Is of three years duration. The first two years of LL.B. degree course are identical with the LL.B. (General) course. The holder of only LL.B. (General) is not eligible to enrol as an Advocate with the State Bar Council.
Admission Information
Admission is purely on CET Score. Any modification in admission guidelines will be notified on the college notice board. Admissions will be given strictly a merit in C.E.T conducted by Govt. of Maharashtra.
Conditions For Admissions To Third & Fifth Semester of Three Years L.L.B Courses :
Candidates for being eligible for admission to the third semester of 3 years LL.B. courses must have either passed in the examinations of the First and Second Semester or must have got exemption in at least Six Papers (excluding Practical Training Paper) of the First and Second Semesters. Similarly, a candidate for being eligible for admission to Fifth Semester of 3 years LL.B. course must have passed in all the papers of First and Second Semester and must have either passed in the Third and Fourth Semester or must have got exemption in at least Six Papers (excluding Practical Training Paper) of the Third and Fourth Semesters.
A Student Migrating From Any Other Constituent College Of The Mumbai University
6. Shall produce a “Transfer Certificate” to be obtained from the college last attended. The Transfer Certificate application form should be obtained from the college at the time of admission and should be submitted to the college last attended. It will be the sole responsibility of the student to obtain “Transfer Certificate” from the previous college and submit it to the College office within the stipulated period.
The Management Council Resolution is reproduced as under Item No. 9: After due deliberation, it was resolved that the proposal for issuing the Provisional Statement of Eligibility to the students by imposing a penalty after the due date prescribed for the respective year the affiliated college / recognized institutes of Rs. 5000/-, and Rs. 10,000/- for Non-Professional and Professional courses respectively be accepted. However, the said penalty shall be made effective from 1st October 2007, till further orders, subject to the fulfilment of conditions as laid down in the Ordinances 119 and 120 relating to the attendance to be kept by the students and also subject to the condition that the student is admitted as per the admission schedule of the University.

Fee Structure:
The fee structure of the LL.B. course is as prescribed by the University of Mumbai from time to time.
Ragging & Sexual Harassment:
Please note according to Maharashtra Prohibition of Ragging Act 1999 that any act of ragging is prohibited and therefore it is a punishable offence. The College may suspend or dismiss the student from the College for such act. Even for cases regarding Sexual Harassment, College will take appropriate action as per rules. The college provides and expect a ragging free environment.
I.T Infrastructure
The college Computer Center has been provided with Computers powered with i3 and i5 processors. The entire arrangement is oriented with 1 IBM & 1 HP server & Structured networking system with 12 MBPS Hathaway Leased line, and broadband connection of 50 MBPS from Hathaway. The Computer Center provides excellent internet surfing & downloading facility. The Center also has Acer laptops which are used by the students for presentations. Students are provided with State–of the-art Wi-fi technology; enabling wireless access.
