Siddharth Law College, Gandhinagar is established by Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Education Society, in the capital city of Gujarat state in 1990, during the time of birth centenary year which was celebrated as “SOCIAL JUSTICE YEAR” (1990-1992) by the Government of India, for bringing socio-legal awareness particularly in the capital city of Gujarat and society in general.

Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Education Society felt the need for starting new Law Colleges in the rural and backward areas of Gujarat in the year 1984 as to bring Equality, Fraternity, Brotherhood and to provide Justice in the society and as a result the society had established Two Law Colleges, in Gandhinagar and Kamrej (Surat).

Since 1990 the college has rendered invaluable service in the field of legal education and Legal Services and effectively completed 24 years of its existence. It is the only three year Law College in the capital city of Gujarat state.

The Institution’s Admission process is based on Merit system. A notice/ advertisement regarding admission are published on the notice board of the college and in various local news papers well in advance. As per the rules and regulations of Bar Council of India, the Eligibility criteria for admission in First LL.B: – (on First Attempt at Graduation Level)

-at least 45 % in graduate level ( General category students)

-at least 40 % in graduate level (for S.C. / S.T. students ).

The Various Curricular and Extracurricular Activities are conducted in the College. Students actively participate in activities like Debate, Quiz and Moot Court, Essay Writing and Group Discussions. The College organises Expert Lectures on International days like World Aids Day, International Human Rights Day. On Birth Anniversaries of Luminary like Dr. B. R Ambedkar, Swami Vivekananda and Sardar Vallabhai Patel. various activities as Essay Writing, Drawing and Painting were also conducted. Under Saptadhara Activities various Programmes were organized by the institute under seven bands. Apart from this they also participated in various Inter Collegiate Competitions and brought laurels to the college.
