Balaji Law College Pune
Balaji Law College (Affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University, Recognised by Govt. of Maharashtra, & Bar Council of India), under the auspices of Sri Balaji Society, Pune upholds the Society’s philosophy of Discipline, Dedication, and Determination. It is an upcoming institution with the goal of catering to the contemporary requirement of society to have trained Corporate Lawyers.
Balaji Law College Admission 2023 is ongoing for Law programs through MHT CET Law. Exam Dates for the same have been released for the 5-year and 3-year LLB programs. MH CET Law 2023 exam for the 5-year LLB will be conducted on April 2, 2023, and MH CET Law for the 3-year LLB will be held on April 2 and April 3, 2023.Balaji Law College was established in 2003 and is located at Pune, Maharashtra. The college is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University.
Programmes Offered and Eligibility
Degree Programme
B.A.LL.B. (5 Year Programme)
The 3-year LLB (Hons) is a postgraduate professional degree programme that is open to graduates from all disciplines. It is a qualifying degree for admission to legal practice. It is an integrated law course, which includes the study of both law subjects and arts subjects like political science, economics, history, etc. BA LLB course duration is 5 years. After completing 12th from a recognized board, students can apply for BA LLB admission through law entrance exams such as CLAT, LSAT India, AILET, etc. or direct admissions.
Eligibility: H.S.C. or equivalent in any stream from recognised board with minimum 45% marks (40% marks for SC / ST / NT / DTNT / OBC categories belonging to State of Maharashtra).
LL.B. (3 Year Programme)
A three-year LLB is an undergraduate law curriculum that is only concerned with legal topics. Even though students can only enrol in this course after graduating it is not a postgraduate degree. 5-year LLB curriculum is an integrated course with a dual degree. Along with the core requirements for the LLB degree, this course also covers subjects from other graduate programmes including BA, B.Com, BBA, B.Sc, etc.
Eligibility: Bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent with minimum 45% marks (40% marks for SC / ST / NT / DTNT / OBC categories belonging to State of Maharashtra).
Moot court Cell
Moot court covers the appeals process rather than a trial, so there is no jury, witnesses or evidence. Instead, students are given a hypothetical case and will take on the role of either the appellant or respondent. The appellants will speak first, arguing the decision in the original trial was wrong. The respondents will then present their case defending the initial ruling. The Moot Court Board is composed of second-year and third-year law students chosen on the basis of their performance in intramural moot court competition. A state-of art Moot Court hall serves as an experiential learning place. The moot court room is built separately to conduct the internal moots as well as for hosting the moot court competition. The Feel of classic court room is simulated through this Moot Court hall.

Placement & Internship @ Balaji Law College
Placement Cell helps students in exploring Placement opportunities and provides Internship to the students which is an essential requirement as per the norms of Bar Council of India (BCI) Rules. The objective of Internship is to develop the understanding of legal culture and learn the applicability of the various provisions of law in practical life. The Placement Cell takes up the onus of grooming the students to enable them to take up career in the legal field. As all Cells in Balaji Law College are students driven, so is the Placement Cell.
The Placement Cell has a representative from each class of 5 year course of B.A.LL.B and 3 year course of LL.B. Under the guidance of Asst. Prof. Surabhi Jain (Placement Cell In-charge) the Placement Cell had taken up following activities:
Training Session- The cell arranges training sessions for interview, group discussion and written examination.
Lecture Series for competitive exams – The cell provides Lecture series on important subjects for competitive examinations.
Seminar on Recruitment – The cell had organized Seminar on “Preparation for Interview and Making of CV”.
Guest Lectures – The cell is involved in organizing guest lectures by representatives of law firms, companies and advocates.
Alumni Meet – The cell organizes Alumni Meet for providing forum of interaction between alumni’s and students.
