In 1981, Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal (SVKM) established Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) to meet the growing demand for management education. With the legacy of 38 years, NMIMS has grown to be one of the top-IO B-schools in India and emerged as a multi-disciplinary, multi-campus University and fourteen constituent schools, of which Kirit P Mehta School of Law is one.

Established in the year 2013 approved by the Bar Council of India aims to provide a Law School with a global focus and international outreach dedicated to advancing human dignity, social and economic welfare, and justice through knowledge of the law Kirit P. Mehta School of Law, NMIMS aims to refine students’ competency by engaging them in curricular and extra-curricular activities.

Qualified faculties and support staff assist learners to easily integrate into the course and participate in events. NMIMS LAT Eligibility

The candidate should have passed the 12th Standard examination conducted by a recognized Board / University with a minimum of 50% in examinations

For selection, the candidate has to take and qualify for the NMIMS LAT.

BBA LLB

BBA LLB course duration is 5 years with a semester-wise system of examination. The subjects include both business management as well as law subjects. The subject topics in BBA LLB constitute Principles of Management, Marketing Management, Constitutional law, corporate law, family law, legal ethics, and a lot more.

BBA LLB scope includes becoming a Corporate Lawyer, Advocate and any job profile related to the legal field. The student has lots of opportunities to work in such reputed Law Firms of the country, in MNCs as Legal Advisor and can also work independently as a Lawyer/Advocate.

The Average BBA LLB Salary per Annum will be around INR 2-10 Lakhs, varied by experience, knowledge and skills of one.

BA LLB

Bachelor of Arts – Bachelor of Legislative Law (BA LLB) is a five-year undergraduate degree in the field of law which candidates can pursue right after completing the school education. BA LLB is one of the most sought after law programme in India and is offered by several law colleges and national law universities.

The curriculum under BA LLB includes the subjects of Bachelors of Arts along with the common law subjects. Studying for the B.A. L.L.B. course at School of Law, NMIMS is an opportunity for learners to specialize in Humanities along with law.

Apart from imbibing knowledge of law, the course allows learners to understand law by critically understanding subjects like Political Science Economics, Sociology and History and their influence and interdependence on Law. Moot court

Moot courts are attracting attention as more law students. And it seek to gain honour, experience, and professional exposure by playing a key role in a moot court. Mooting is a form of an Oral proceeding similar to that of a court proceeding practiced mainly in institutions and universities where law as a subject is taught to see that how efficient a student is in fighting an argument based on law.

Moot courts give law students opportunities to research and litigate advanced hypothetical problems, compete with a team against other student attorneys, and receive professional feedback on their performance by peers, faculty, and the moot court itself.

In this a proper court scenario is created where the students act like the Councillors (Advocates) presenting each side (Plaintiff and Defendant) on the basis of evidences and substantive questions of law argue with each other to prove their point in front of the judge who in the end will give his judgment in the same regard and will also declare the winner who has performed the best.
