Similarly, a candidate for being eligible for admission to Fifth Semester of 3 years LL.B. course must have passed in all the papers of First and Second Semester and must have either passed in the Third and Fourth Semester or must have got exemption in at least Six Papers (excluding Practical Training Paper) of the Third and Fourth Semesters.

A Student Migrating From Any Other Constituent College Of The Mumbai University

6. Shall produce a “Transfer Certificate” to be obtained from the college last attended. The Transfer Certificate application form should be obtained from the college at the time of admission and should be submitted to the college last attended. It will be the sole responsibility of the student to obtain “Transfer Certificate” from the previous college and submit it to the College office within the stipulated period.

The Management Council Resolution is reproduced as under Item No. 9: After due deliberation, it was resolved that the proposal for issuing the Provisional Statement of Eligibility to the students by imposing a penalty after the due date prescribed for the respective year the affiliated college / recognized institutes of Rs. 5000/-, and Rs. 10,000/- for Non-Professional and Professional courses respectively be accepted. K. C. Law College Library

K. C. Law College Library is named after Late Diwan Gopaldas Jhamatmal Advani, one of the leading advocates of Sind. He was a scholar and writer of book titled ‘Arbitration and Specific Relief Act’. He was also connected with many Educational Institutions in Sind as well as in Mumbai.

The College Library is located in a spacious and airy hall on the fourth floor of the college building. It houses a valuable collection of law books, journals, reports, etc. Daily newspapers and magazines are also kept in the library.

The library has approximately 15000 print books and journals.

The library subscribes to three legal databases and one general database of e-books and e-journals in its collection.

It includes a rare and valuable collection of back files of case reporters for the second half of the 19th century. The library has maintained print AIR right from its first volume of the year1914.

The library also contains Moot Court memorials as guide to students.

There is a collection of biographies and writings of Indian and foreign legal stalwarts for inspirational reading.

Access to the library collection is through a catalogue which is computerized using SLIM software. Books are arranged subject wise and classified using the Dewey DecimalClassification Scheme.

From the Academic Year 2022-23 onwards, the library has acquired the EBC Reader e-Library, a database of e-books and e-journals published by Eastern Book Company. User accounts have been created for all students and teachers and all of them can access this collection remotely.

Lead Reader Award:

From the Academic Year 2022-23 onwards, the Library started awarding one student from each year with the “Lead Reader Award” which is given for optimum use of Library. The Library Committee and the Teachers considered the students’ attendance and general participation in addition to Library use while deciding the names of the awardees.

{10 Semester Programme With Choice Based Credit System (Cbcs)}

1 The Five Year BA LL.B. Degree Programme approved by BCI is a Ten Semester Programme.

2 The duration of each semester shall be of six months.

3 There shall be an Examination at the end of each semester which shall be conducted by the University

4 Admission to the Programme is by Merit only through All India Law Entrance Test conducted by Bharati Vidyapeeth University.

5 Eligibility for Admission to BA LL.B. First Semester – The applicant shall have passed the H.S.C. Examination (10+2) in English or equivalent from recognized Board / University and have obtained minimum 45% marks in aggregate.

6 Provisional Admission: Every admission given shall be provisional. Provisional admission is for a limited period. Its confirmation depends upon the clearance of eligibility as per rules of admission/ examination. In case of non-clearance of eligibility within the period of first term, it stands cancelled automatically without any notice. In case of any doubt, the student shall contact the Principal immediately and shall clarify the doubts in writing.

Christ University’s BBA LLB program is a highly sought-after program, and the university has certain eligibility criteria that prospective students must meet.

The “SRB” (Student’s Resource Book), is the document which provides the information, guidelines and rules related to academics, attendance, examination, library, placement, and day to day functioning of the school. All students are bound by the rules mentioned in SRB.

How the students will get information on Final/Re-Exam dates/time table?

Information about Final/Re-examination dates are available in the Academic Calendar of the Student Resource Book of the respective school of every academic year. The Academic calendar is also shared by the Academic dept at the beginning of Academic year. The Final/Re- exam time-table is published approximately 30 – 45 days prior to the commencement of examination. The student can view this time table on the Student Portal as well as on the NMIMS website (https://nmims.edu/examination).

Who can apply for re-examination?

Student who was Absent/Fail or score D grade in Final /Re- Exam can apply for re-exam. Read the Promotion/Progression rule given in SRB to understand the eligble number of attempts the student can appear for a particular semester/trimester re-examination.

What if a student does not apply for the re-examination in the given time period? Is there any provision of application by collecting extra fee?

There is no provision for apply for re-examination after the registration window is closed as per the time slot given in the Re-Examination time table. In such case, the student concerned lose the chance to appear for the re-examination.
